Vehicle Detail
1990 Vanagon Carat with the mutivan (MV) package. 2.1 litre, water cooled with an Automatic transmission. Runs great, doesn't use any oil (have never put any in between oil changes). Rear seat folds into a queen-size bed & has the table in back the folds up. Front & rear heaters, electric door locks, has front and rear A/C but not sure if it works or not (haven't tried to use it in a year or so). It needed to have refrigerant added a few years ago. I also have curtains for it. Recent transmission work by German Tranaxle here in Bend (new seals, replaced clutches and a gear in final drive). Doesn't leak any fluids. True Mileage is UNKNOWN (Odometer doesn't work). Super straight body. Paint is NOT GOOD (looks better in pictures than it is). I took a preemptive strike and had the windshield removed a couple of years ago to have rust in the lower corners eliminated. So it still has the primer in some spots. I have picture of that and will share upon request. I have 24 years of receipts/maintenance/records for this vehicle. Has been well maintained. I replaced the tires with light truck tires at a cost of over $700 not long ago and it's had a recent tune-up. Van is parked at 63125 OB Riley Rd, Bend, OR 97701 if you want to drive by and see it. All it really needs is new paint and a new stereo. I have a box with all new rubber for the windows (sides and rear). I was planning to replace them all when I had it painted. I already replaced the front windshield rubber when I had the body work done & replaced the windshield. Great van. I bought it from the 2nd owner and have had it for 4 years. We've driven it all over the west and camped in it. It's never left us stranded. I really hate to sell it but I have an RV now and just don't use it much. I hate to see it sit and I don't have room in the garage for it. So hope someone buys it and uses it. Now the legal stuff. Sold as is where is. Once the van is driven away, it's yours. All sales are final. Buyer needs to make a $500 deposit within 48 hours of winning bid. Remainder is to be paid within 7 days. Van needs to be picked up within 10 days unless other arrangements are made. I will be more than happy to help coordinate shipping of the Bus. If you want any specific photos of anything, feel free to ask. I've done my best to try and describe this 25 year old van to the best of my abilities. I am not a car dealer, so this is not my expertise. Good luck.
