This 1984 Mercedes was finished in this very rare " blue/green " metallic ( MB color code 877)  with "Palomino" color leather interior . I have not seen another one in this color combination and i do get compliments on it every time i drive it . This gorgeous Mercedes wagon was originally sold in Houston/ Texas and has spent it's whole life pampered in Texas and California . It has been extremely well maintained through all of the last 31 years and it shows . I also do have all the service records from new to prove it . There is the completed and stamped service book from Mercedes and about 100 service receipts ( worth over $24000,- ) over the last 31 years . This Mercedes runs extremely well , it has plenty of power in town and on the freeway . The transmission shifts smooth through all the gears and it is truly fun to drive . All the door-locks and the windows work the way they should . The climate control works well with the AC blowing cold through all the vents and the heater blowing warm . All the gauges are functioning properly and so does the original radio and power antenna . The body and the paint are in great condition . The car is 31 years old and even though it was garaged , there a couple of small scratches in the paint . They are barely noticeable and i have included a picture . The interior is also very clean , as the many pictures will show . There are no rips or tears in the seats , the dashboard is perfect , the carpets are clean and even the wood accents are in great shape . This car was also optioned with the very rare third row of seats facing the back . This way you can legally and more or less comfortable seat 7 people in this car . Whenever i pick up my son and some of his friends from school , i have the most popular car and all the kids want to drive with us in the last seat . You can also fold this seat away and have the same huge cargo space than in a regular 300TD wagon . Driving this car reminds you of a time when automobiles were built to last a lifetime and not just until the next years model comes along . Everything feels very solid and you do not have any of the electronics and annoying warning lights in the dashboard . This car would be ideal for somebody who likes to drive a classic car , but needs it to be very reliable . It is the perfect comfortable car for long road trips . You can cruise with 85-90 miles per hour all day long while still averaging 27 mpg of diesel . This kind of car is known to go for a million miles with the right maintenance . It is the car Mercedes built their reputation on . You often see them even here on Ebay with 400k-500k miles and still running well . With this wagon only having 172k well maintained and documented miles , it should last the next owner a lifetime . I did upload many more pictures and they can describe this car better than i can . I would prefer to sell this gorgeous wagon locally to somebody who could actually come by and see it / test drive it .
