1966 American Motors, AMC, Ambassador 990. Super original second owner car from Western Oklahoma. Shows 44k on odometer and we believe that to be the original miles. Has original factory 327 V8 motor with original automatic transmission. The car has power steering and factory air conditioning and non power brakes. Good Original paint that has no significant rust or body repairs. There is some slight surface rust spots on the paint and around the damged tail light. No big deal most would buff out. I have included some pictures of these small areas and underneath. Just added a fresh set of tires all around. Drivers side tail light is damaged and out but we have a complete new old stock taillight housing and tail light lens that comes with the car it will need a rear view mirror. The other tail light has a crack out of the bottom lens but is legal. The car is SUPER straight all the way around with Original paint. The car was a barn kept rural car and still in the barn when we purchased it. The previous owner replaced the exhaust system and went through the whole car mechanically . The car will need better tires to travel far & and a fuel filter or tank refresh from some older gas that has been in the tank. Interior is all original with a super clean dash with no cracks or rips. Seats are also original with a 60/40 front bench with original seat covers. The car will defiantly need new carpet. The car looks like it was never smoked in as the double ashtrays are like new. The car runs and drives with working gauges, no smoke or oil leaks from engine. Has the Original 327 and is very powerful impressive motor. This car would make a awesome and unique cruiser or rat rod. Stand out in a world of Chevrolet, Ford and Dodge. A Easy and simple restoration we just have too many projects so this one has to go .We have only driven it about 200 miles since we purchased it a few years ago which is also why it needs to find a new home. I believe you could drive the car home no problem however with some of the old gas in the tank still I would trailer it till the tank is drained and re-filled. My Mechanic said it needs a new inline fuel filter that is clogged for it to run properly. The car runs and idles then stops because of the filter. We will let the new owner replace that .
