Vehicle Detail

1955 Chevy 2 door hard top bel air. Factory v8 car. this is a roller meaning no motor no Trans. Clear virginia title. Car is set up for 4 speed with big block Chevy, This car had a 396 and 4 speed for years. Has the old hurst big block front motor mounts. Car is a project with a big head start. We had a bunch of body work done. I will describe each panel of the car in detail as best as possible. All panels on the car were stripped to bare metal and primed with good quality 2k primer. The hood is very nice, straight. Both front fenders had headlight caps installed and lower patches, rust was cut out and replaced with new metal. Fenders are good. Lower front valance is good. Left front fender extension is slightly bent down. Right side is good. The entire roof and window channels are great. Trunk lid is as nice as you could ever find, no rust and straight. Truck lock hole was welded up at some point before me. Doors on the car are straight outside however the bottom inside are going to need replaced. Outside rocker panels are decent have been patched at some point. Scale 0to10 I give them a 6. Rear quarters on the car have been patched and has good amount of filler. I would recommend new skins both sides if you want it perfect.Rear splash pan under trunk lid at rear bumper needs installed. I do not have one. Trunk pan and floor pan have holes and will needs patches or sections. They do make the entire floor. It just depends how perfect you want it. Fire wall is solid and straight. A pillars are nice as well as b jambs. All glass is in car no cracks. Dash is good, some old school gauges installed. Has nice turquoise bel air steering wheel. Car steers well and rolls well. A big plus this car has all the correct 55 seats front and rear. Seats will need new upholstery. Headliner and all bows there. Extra bel air door panels included. All window stainless or trim for inside is there. Garnish moldings were chromed back in the day. They will need cleaned up. All out side window stainless is there except the front lower windshield middle piece. I do not have any of the side molding for the car. I do have nice front inner wheel wells for it. I also have the optional oil filter set up for1955 265. The car has all 4 1955 15' wheels that were blasted and painted red. Tires on front are new. Rear are used with 50% tread left. I have all four bel air hubcaps decent. I put two of the dog dish bowtie caps on and it looks really good with the red wheels. Car has stock 55 rear. Please understand the car still needs restoration. It could be used as a rat rod or hot rod pretty quick. If your looking to restore it to original that is possible too just understand it will need work. I like to describe stuff as honest as I can so there's a clear understanding. This car has been sitting a while and we are trying to down size. Trunk of car is full with extra 55 stuff misc. please bid to own on this no reserve auction. 500.00 deposit due within 48 hours of auction ending balance to be paid within 7 days of auction ending. Car can be stored here if needed up to 45 days. It will remain inside after auction. Please e mail any questions or if you would like to talk please email your number. Thanks and good luck on this no reserve auction.
