For Sale - 1940 Ford Standard Coupe. This beauty was one of the 3 1940 Ford's used in the Moonshiner Episode 2 of Ray Evernham's AmeriCarna series on Velocity. Ray drove this car and slid it in the dirt during the episode - called it a bootleg turn. He's signed the dash and a copy of the episode will be included. This is a standard Coupe and has a Chevy 327 V8 w/4 bbl carb mated to the original 3 speed Ford trans and banjo rear end. The interior was done in the 60's and is a great tuck/roll seat with race belt. Since we purchased the car from Ray Evernham we've replaced the running boards, master cylinder/brakes, exhaust was repaired and the interior was fitted with new rubber mat. We've left the car as it was in the show and its a great driver. There are some patches in the floor/trunk and there is no headliner but we decided to leave it as is and enjoy the car. If you want a '40 Ford Coupe with the history of being in a TV show and previously owned by Ray Evernham this is the one for you. It has a clear NC title.
