Vehicle Detail
Truck has been a great work horse for the past 20 years I've owned it. Truck is complete and would be great for a restoral project. Trim on right side of bed needs new clips and is in bed as shown in photos. 360 V8 runs good with no leaks. Transmission will need a front pump seal replaced as it drips when it sits. Has factory air that is still R12 but will need recharged or converted to R132 Dual fuel tanks. I have the original black license tags to go with the truck. Here is your chance to get a California Smog Exempt truck at a reasonable price. I have no way of knowing if mileage is accurate since I purchased the truck second hand. Truck is for sale locally and I reserve the option to end auction early. The truck is currently in non operational status in California and has no back fees due. Can be driven anywhere you are located in current condition. Has a clear California Title. On Dec-17-14 at 00:17:00 PST, seller added the following information: Drove the truck today and found it has no park gear lock but could be a linkage issue. Transmission shifted fine but had no parking lock function. It is the original C-6 and is 44 years old so a rebuild would be a consideration. Hood latch needs a spring. Placed a seat cover but seat needs re stuffed to be comfortable. Has a set of 33x12.5x16.5 tires on rear and 8.75x 16.5 tires on front. Carburetor has been rebuilt and has a new fuel pump. Horn button is missing. On Dec-18-14 at 08:49:10 PST, seller added the following information: I did see a 1969 F250 in very nice condition end with a winning bid of 8500. I figure it was to be a Christmas present and as trends change on eBay,given the time of the year that is what is in demand. As you can see in my photos i've been a do it yourself-er all my life but no longer live here and don't have the time while visiting. I built my first C-6 and 428 Cobra Jet at the age of 17 and raced for an entire season with it. I think it was a B&M rebuild kit and i spent about 200 including the B&M valve body. Yeah that was 40 years ago lol I see rebuild kits on eBay for 50-200 and it was such an easy transmission to rebuild that I may end the auction till I can find the time to rebuild this one. Seems that times have changed as I don't see as many do it yourselfer's anymore and most just want it done for them. I have listed what needs to be done to the best of my ability and they seem minor to me but its understandable to most who would have to pay 150 an hour labor its a big issue. Thanks for all of your interest in my truck and for letting me vent a bit here. Bottom line is my listing is speculative and i listed it as is while visiting for the holidays. Have a great Christmas and New Years folks.
