This is the perfect car to add to your collection; a great collector car. This car is perfect for a car show or even a daily driver. It runs perfect, does not overheat and sounds very mean. It gets "thumbs up" everywhere I go! The paint is smooth as a baby's *%$&^*. I actually just clay barred the entire car and applied a fresh coat of Meguiers show car wax. I have really enjoyed owning and driving this Chevelle but the time has come to finish my 66 vette. The original motor is long gone. I do not have build sheet. A restored 1970 Chevelle SS 454. The car is finished in Cortez Silver GM base coat/clear coat with black Super Sport stripes on the hood and trunk lid. The Super Sport stripes have been wet sanded and polished to blend the paint so no edge is noticeable to the touch. Hood: Metal cowl induction hood. Underside of hood has been finished in matte black with insulation installed. Hinges and latch work well, fit is good. Trunk: Restored original lid in excellent condition. Hinges and latches work well, fit is good. The trunk is finished in epoxy-based GM light grey trunk paint. Grill and Bright Work: Re-chromed bumpers front and rear. New grill, wheel well moldings, and 454 side fender emblems. All other trim has been polished to a high luster. Electrical Detail: Custom High torque mini starter with new Interstate 1000 cold cranking amp battery (6 year warranty). New heavy duty battery cables. Chassis: Stock chassis with new a-arm bushings for better control. Front Suspension: Totally rebuilt, complete with power disc brakes. New rotors, ceramic brake pads and hoses. New shocks. Rear Suspension: Factory 12 bolt SS differential. Motor/Engine: 454. This engine has been completely rebuilt and balanced to high performance specs. New pistons, rings. Competition roller cam. Cowl induction air cleaner. Holley 4 barrel on Edelbrock aluminum manifold. Motor was dynoed on 11/22/2014 and produced 512 Ft. Lbs of torque and 475 Hp at the crank. Transmission: Hydro 400 that has been rebuilt. Shifts are firm. Car is a blast to drive. Exhaust System: Ceramic coated hooker super competition headers to 3" exhaust pipes to dual Flowmaster mufflers and 3" tail pipes. Differential: New driveshaft and u joints. 12 bolt GM differential Posi 4:10 gears, new bearings and axles. General Underbody Condition: Very clean, painted and well detailed. Wheels: Front GM Rally 15x7 and Rear GM Rally 15x8 Interior: New carpets, New visors, New headliner, Seats have been re-upholstered to match stock.
