This is a nearly unrepeatable opportunity to buy one of the best Bugeye/Frogeye Sprites out there. The last owner spent many years having this car restored to an exacting standard using only top quality and rare parts to bring this low mileage rust free car up to snuff. He started out with a rust free Bugeye that while worn was complete and in good shape. The car was disassembled completely and professionally by a British Car restoration shop. The body was sent out to one of the best local shops for repair and repainting in orginal Healey Old English white, which in my opinion, is one of the best colors on these great little cars. When the car returned the assembly began with all the new, NOS and rebuilt parts he had been sourcing. The engine is a lightly tuned 1098cc motor that has been fully rebuilt, balanced and run in. It has a down draft weber carb, but also has the original carbs with it. The brakes and suspension were also rebuilt with new brakes, antiroll bar, and poly susp. bushes front and rear, fully rebuilt rear axle with 3.9 gearing in the rear end. At this time the car was fitted with minilite alloy wheels that it wears in the pictures. These are a reproduction of a period racing wheel that was popular fitting on these cars. The interior was not overlooked either. This car has a fully restored interior which was custom made by a local upholstery craftsman who specialized in vintage european cars. Its Beautiful! It of course has all the weather equipment such as a new top & side curtains. It also comes with an original jack, owners manual, car cover and other small items. There are countless upgrades and touches on this car that are too numerous to mention such as polished trim, fully coated exhaust, stainless steel bolts and hardware everywhere, etc. To replicate this car would cost well over twice my "buy it now" price.
