This Jeep CJ5 is the perfect project vehicle. Clean title! Being a 1973, it is exempt from all California smog requirements. Thus the buyer can add any engine that suits them. Anything from mild to wild. Advance Adapters makes an adapter for mating the Jeep tranny to a host of engines. Small block Chevy is a perfect fit, as is the powerful 5.3L or 6.2L LS3 motors. This Jeep comes as shown. The Dana 20 transfer case is bulletproof, as is the 3-speed manual transmission. Dana 20 locking hubs front axle, and a HD Dana 44 in the rear. The Jeep has a full suspension, steering shafts and box. I am only selling it because I am finishing up a CJ7 1986 restoration, and a 1971 VW convertible. I bought this Jeep because it has so much potential, but I just don't have the time and space to store it. These Jeeps are well sought after, and they hold their value.
