Up for sale is a silver 2002 WS6 Trans Am. This car was bought in Reseda Ca in June 2011 with 67412 miles. Since then it has been garaged, maintained, and driven lightly over the past 3 years. It currently has 76,732 miles, runs and shifts very smoothly. The battery has just been replaced and the oil and filter was last changed in August with Mobil-1 full synthetic motor oil. Oil and filter has been changed yearly since bought. Since ownership we have only done three things to the car other than change the oil, filter and air filter. One is we replaced the clear (driving light/turn signal) lenses, and secondly we installed a New Rockies Pro bypass module. If you are not familiar with GM's VATS, Passkey or Passlock theft deterrent systems on 1998-2002 vehicles, I encourage you to do some reading on it as the car keys, ignition lock and other sensors all have to be right (certain voltage/current) in order for the car to start. Rather than change the key, barrel, pcm or bcm we opted to install a bypass system that is guaranteed to allow the car to start every time, as when the system started to fail it was hit or miss. This system completely bypasses the stock theft deterrent system that has many points of failure as these cars get older. The security light does flash, but has no bearing other than slight annoyance. I have attempted to remove the bulb but it is of LED type and is non removable. My next step if I were to keep the car would be to see if the wire for the light is only for that light, and then disable the wire. The third thing we have done was replaced the plastic gears on the headlight drive motors with aluminum metal gears. One side was starting to strip out with the plastic gears, and rather than replace it with another plastic set we bought the metal ones. A good investment as they will no longer strip out or ever need changing. The overall condition of the car is in very good to good condition. The tires do not have a lot left in them and will need to be changed sometime in the future. There are no dings to speak of and minor marks. The interior is in very good condition with no rips or tears in any seats. The carpet is also in good condition. Overall it is a very appealing and fun to drive car, but with 4 other cars and 3 motorcycles it is sad that we must let one go. The car is located in Ridgecrest Ca and has had Texas plates since 2012 as I am active duty. It passed smog check. when sold and I'm sure would pass now as it has remained stock and does not have any malfunction lights. I do not have the original owners manual but I do have a manual for it I bought off ebay. Also only one set of keys are with the car. The car has a small lien with Modern Finance Company but will of course will be paid in full once sold. (Less than 1 yr remains of 4 yr note).
