1982 Mercedes 300 Turbo Diesel Wagon - California Car - Original condition - 7 passenger wagon with fold down third row seat - Runs GREAT! - 300 Turbo Diesel with 206,388 miles (as of today) - clean title (currently California DMV non-op status with no back fees) - Well maintained - daily driver with transmission repair - excellent original condition...see photos(does show normal wear for 32 years old) - first aid kit, jack, spare tire/rim and some original documents - not perfect, but could be very close with a few improvements - transmission does slip when warmed up/recommend to rebuild, dash has some cracks, a few pieces of trim are missing/loose (sale will include a few extra pieces of trim (see photos), a/c does not work...may just need a charge, power door locks only work manually, heater works great but does have external blower switch, missing rear passenger carpet, drivers seat and carpet not perfect (see photos), power antenna is operated manually, windshield washer fluid and rear wiper not working - Gauges (including tachometer and clock), lights, front windshield wipers, sun roof and Blaupunkt stereo all in good working condition - Exceptional paint, glass and chrome (see photos) - New tires, belts, hoses, filters within last 500 miles - Brand new battery (the one in photo has been replaced) - Recent valve adjustments/gasket, starter, some new throttle linkage and fuel lines This car was my daily driver until the transmission started to slip. Engine runs GREAT! If you are familiar with these cars you know that a properly maintained motor will run for well over 500,000 miles. My research has shown that the transmissions generally need to be rebuilt around 200-250k miles. With a rebuilt transmission and a few minor repairs this classic diesel Mercedes Benz wagon would be in the condition that have recently sold in the $15,000 range. All regular maintenance has been done. For several years I looked for a nice Mercedes 300 TD wagon, finally found this one. Super clean, well maintained and only needing minor improvements. Describing and purchasing a 32 year old car without seeing it could be a challenge. I have tried to provide the most important information, but it would not be possible to list every detail in this ad. Best case scenario would be to set an appointment to view and drive my wagon.
