1971 BMW R-Series

This is a nice 1971 BMW R60/5. It runs, shifts, rides, and brakes well. No weird noises or smoke. All the lights, switches, and controls work. The tank and fenders are in good condition with no dents in the tank and no cracks in the fenders. The petcocks work properly and don't leak, the exhaust is solid with some staining here and there but looks great overall. It has a new Westco battery and a new Conti Go rear tire. The front tire is a Metzeler Marathon in good condition. The handlebars aren't original but are comfortable when riding. There is no toolkit, tray, or tire pump with the bike. The odometer shows 3176 miles so I assume that the speedo was rebuilt or replaced. The speedo and tach work. It also comes with a key for the fork and seat locks. This is a really comfortable, enjoyable bike to ride. I've lowered the price since last auction. This isn't a must-sell situation so the price is firm.
