This is a 1964 Mercedes Benz 220SE with A/C; SR, PS. This car is known to have only 2 longtime owners.Prior owner was an elderly man who only drove occasionally. The current owner bought it after, and only drove it occasionally the First year and has been unused and unregistered or inspected for use for the past 12 or 14 years. So while sitting over a decade, it will need basic items like battery, plugs,flush fuel tank, etc. The mileage is in kilometers and is believed to be original but the 1st. owner has passed and cant be verified. The paint is not perfect, but nice with no dents or scrapes. Interior is blue leather and soft, not brittle except rear window package and top or rear seat upholstery shop said about a 300.00 fix. The car has both sun roof and air conditioning, factory equipped, also has the nice side trim, usually only installed on 300 models, which enhances the lines and makes the car more desirable. Car is complete and together and deserving to be freshened up, washed and waxed after 12 years sitting. Tires are old and should be replaced. No visible rust or corrosion seen. Engine bay area is dusty, but has most all original hoses and clamps. Whether its restored or freshened up, it is a beautiful example of a fine auto, and should give the owner another 15-20 years of good service. The owner of the car guarantees that he has a valid Texas Title, and will present it upon purchase, if he hasn't one then the car would be sold with a Bill of Sale, and the Title would have to be changed anyway, it should also be noted that this car has always been a Texas car, and not from a state that salts their roads for ice, another desirable point for the buyer. As with any 50 year old car, this one comes with no guarantee or warranty, and is sold as is, where it is. the buyer would be responsible for the shipping and cost. The car is a great car and I believe it should Double in value over the next three years and will be an excellent investment. At present a low mileage 220SE with air and sun roof will average around 29,000.00, and I would predict 60 - 80,000 by 2018.
