Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Up for sale is a 1967 Ford F100 Short Wheel Base Ranger Edition. The engine that was originally in the truck was removed at restoration and was replaced by a Ford 460 Big Block, that was rebuilt at a machine shop in Western Kentucky. It is a standard bore with flat top pistons, and reconditioned rods, new rod bearings, new main bearings, and new cam bearings. It also has new oil pump, timing chain, gear set, and all FelPro gaskets throughout. The heads on the block are from a 1970 block. They are DOVE heads that have been reworked with all new equipment. the cam is a Lunati Solid Lift Cam (Part #41606). The intake is a Edelbrock Victor Jr. 460. We decided to use a ProForm 750 CFM double pumper carburetor. The hand made sheet metal valve covers give a great custom look to the engine bay. On the front of the engine we used a March Performance Serpentine system that makes the engine run and look so smooth. This helps with not stealing power away to run the power steering or water pump. The fuel pump is a chrome Holley mechanical fuel pump. To keep everything cool on a hot summer day we used an aluminum radiator with an electric fan. The electronics are all controlled by a MSD Digital-6 Plus. This is one of the top of the lines controllers for vehicles. It will do everything you need it to do for this truck, such as adding nitrous down the road or anything like that. Transferring this power to the rear is a rebuilt Ford C6 Transmission with Transgo kit with TCI 10 inch torque convertor (part #442100). The front end is from a 2003 Ford Crown Victoria. This gives the truck such a smoother ride. The custom setup allows the engine to sit low between the two spring towers. The wheels and tires are 20 inch Boss 338. The rear end is a Ford 9 inch with a 3.00 gear ratio with posi track. It has all new axle seals and bearings. The truck was a complete frame off restoration. The cab corners and floors were replaced as well as sand blasting the frame. We then went back and base coat and then clear coated the frame. Many hours were put into this. Pictures do not do it justice. The grille on the truck is original to the truck. 1967 was a "one off" year for Ford F100 trucks. This was the only year that they used this grill in their trucks and luckily we had one when we came across this project. It was not in very good shape at all. So we sent the grill and headlight door off to D-G Custom Chrome in Ohio to do their magic. Well 9 months later and $1200 later we get back a work of art (in my opinion) that makes this truck. 3 times they had to redo the chrome on the grill to make it right and they ended up hitting a homerun. The 1967 Ford F100 Ranger Edition had a lot of trim pieces going down the sides and also in the hood. We elected to remove and fill these places in to give the truck a more sleek look. The tailgate is a NOS part that was found on a shelf in a storage facility. We put a coat of paint on it and it was perfect. So it is 100% factory Ford. The interior of the truck was completely redone just like the rest of the truck. We ended up with a new seat, headliner, carpet, dash, and gauges. The steering wheel is a cheery wood with a beautiful Ford emblem in the middle. At night when the gauges light up and your driving around town they look amazing. This truck turns heads everywhere you go and people want to stop and talk about it. It has to be seen to see how pretty it is. This truck is not a 50 footer. The paint is so deep and clear that you get lost looking into it. We chose 491P, which oddly enough is a GM code, but to us it was such a deep black.
