The history of this 1960 Chevrolet Corvette My dad Herman bought the Corvette body of this car back in 1994 he paid a professional mechanic to 100% restore it. He only got to enjoy the finished car a couple of times before he was diagnosed with cancer and died in March of 1996. The car was left to me and I being so young then stored it in my grandmother’s garage. My mom had it put up on blocks and covered it in her locked garage for many years. After my grandmother passed I had the car moved to my house where it is covered and stored now. In May of 2012 I had a very good friend of mine who is a professional mechanic come and work on the car to get it back on the road. He cleaned the gas tank and added necessary fluids. He was amazed that there was absolutely no rust anywhere on the car. I love this car however I have not driven it much and have a family now so I am looking for a new family to love this car. This car is a collector’s dream and my dad had pride in it when refinishing it. There are very minor things that need tweaking on the car. My dad never completed the electrical that allows the clock or horn to work the wiring is there just not hooked up yet. The rubber seal around the soft top seems to be a little loose and needs to be repaired. There are a couple minor tiny scratches on the car and the passenger door is hanging/shutting a little low and needs minor adjustment. Overall the car runs great it just needs some finishing touches that my dad never got around to because of his illness. The mileage reads 365320 however it has been driven less than 50 miles since the restoration and new engine was put in. This car has the white soft top and the red hard top. The hard top needs the chrome trim and the seal those parts were never finished and there are scratches on the paint on the hard top If you need to know anything else or you would like to see please let me know.
