1981 Trans Am was bought in 2002. It was originally a turbo Trans Am with the Pontiac 301 turbocharged engine. This Trans Am was partially parted out and I have sold the engine, automatic transmission, original gages, dash bezel, spoilers, turbo hood, front nose, rear bumper, wheel flares, etc. The rolling body shell is left along with the 3.08:1 rear disc brake posi rear axle, 15x7 original snowflake wheels, t-tops, partial interior, etc. The body shell is very good condition. You can see in the pictures how solid the quarter panels are even where the rear wheel flares mount. The trunk lid has some rust where the spoiler mounted, but I have a clean trunk lid for purchase separately. The left front fender has a small rust hole near the bottom, but I have a clean fender for purchase separately. eBay requires exact mileage, so I have listed mileage as 999,999, but the correct mileage is over 100,000. The floor pans, rear frame rails, radiator support, body panels, etc. are all solid and in very good condition on this Trans Am. My plan was to build this 1981 Trans Am to look like a 1978 Trans Am with a Pontiac W72 400 engine, Borg Warner Super T10 4-speed, 4 speed changeover parts, 4 speed console, shaker hood, correct rear tail panel, rear bumper, front bumper, nose, grills, etc. I have all of the major components for this project and these parts can be purchased separately if the winning bidder is interested.
