This 1955 Ford Thunderbird has b This 1955 Ford Thunderbird has been in our family for about 30 years. We used to drive it a lot in high school when it was a bright, shiny red. About 10 years ago, my dad began a project to restore it to pristine condition, but became ill about halfway through that project and the restoration was never finished. The car has been sitting in a garage for the past few years in Ypsilanti, Michigan. The car is in need of a new owner who can finish the job. This information is only what I know, which isn't much. At the bottom is the contact information for the Auto Shop that has been working on the car. They will be able to answer any specific questions you may have about what has been done to the car. You are more than welcome to go see the car. I have also included a couple pictures of the car from about 10 years ago when it was in working condition. - Approximately $18,000 in parts and labor has been spent in the past few years. (I have been able to gather receipts totaling approximately $11,000. Please contact me thru email if you would like to see pictures of the receipts. I can't put the pictures in the listing due to an eBay picture limit.) - Numbers match on engine and transmission - Metal etching epoxy urethane primer currently on car - Top is ready for sand and shoot - Has everything with it, seats, moldings, new gas tank (needs to be installed), radiator (needs repair) - Rebuilt carborator - Replaced six sections of passenger compartment floor pan. - Replaced outer and inner rockers. - Engine was refreshed - New factory oem quarter panel - I have attached a duplicate title that was obtained in 1993 - There is no additional money owed to the car shop The car is currently at: Ypsilanti Wreck Center 1334 E.
