1984 Mercury Cougar XR7. 2.3l EFI turbo. Non Inter-cooled.Two tone White with lower silver exterior. Charcoal/grey sport interior, including sport bucket 6way power seats, power mirrors, power windows, touchpad keyless entry and ac (ac- not working...needs to be converted to 134a.) Sport suspension option with Aluminum, metric 390mm TRX wheel option. Stock, C3 trans with 7.5" traction-loc rear/ 3.45gears. 77,000 miles on body, engine and trans- all original. Stock turbo recently rebuilt with bronze bearings and high speed turbine balancing. Paint is original , not in bad shape. Interior is in excellent condition. Newer CD player installed to stock 6 speaker system. ( think I still have original radio and amplifier ) WHAT NEEDS REPAIR- Exterior - needs passenger side front fender. Needs work on part of passenger door where meets fender. Some rust along bottom of rear fenders, behind wheels. Michelin tires pretty dry. Engine- runs rough. Small stress crack in cast iron exhaust manifold. Leaks oil - mostly from dried gaskets. AC compressor needs to be converted to 134a. Needs exhaust - cat convert is ok. Car has not been driven regular for about 10 years. Started every few months. Lots of space in huge trunk, comfortable, cool classic, ready for QQ plates Used to get great fuel economy too!
