This is a 1954 Hudson Metropolitan convertible, it's a factory built convertible with code 541 on the data plate which is confirms this fact., so it is not a converted hardtop. As collectors of these cars already know , it is same as a Nash, but the early cars were also sold through Hudson dealers, so they put Hudson emblem in the grille. Late 1954 build date. It's an original red car, white top and interior according to the data plate. This car is a MAJOR PROJECT , so please don't lose sight of this point. It does run, needs brake and clutch master and slave cylinders, so it will not shift gears with the clutch, and will not stop. Has rust in floors and rockers and underside. Lower door hinge anchor points are rotted , so only upper door hinges currently supporting both doors. All glass is good, gas tank cleaned , and holds fuel and has new fuel line. Convertible top frame is good. The seat frame is shot and the rear seat frame is missing. Missing the air cleaner. Includes both original bumpers. You need to go deep on this one, but it is a first year Hudson convertible, most you see for sale are the hardtops. I will answer all questions.
