1966 THUNDERBIRD CONVERTIBLE BARN FIND WINTER PROJECT LAST ON ROAD IN 1981, STORED IN A BARN IN FLORIDA, CLEAR FLORIDA TITLE "Q" CODE 428 ENGINE (RARE) WITH 345 HORSEPOWER CRUISE - O - MATIC, C-6 AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION POWER WINDOWS POWER SEAT POWER LOCKS CRUISE CONTROL WHEEL SKIRTS ORIGINALLY SILVER MINK METALLIC WITH BLACK INTERIOR ALL STAINLESS TRIM IS PRESENT This car was recently uncovered after a lengthy storage since 1981. After some tinkering, we got it started using fuel out of a can. The motor sounded great but the carburetor will need a rebuild so it will not idle. The transmission shifts into forward and reverse. The trunk lid mechanism operates as it should but the convertible top does not go down. I hear the pump running but it sounds like there is air in the line has a leak. The brake pedal is stuck so we did not try the brakes The power windows and locks don't seem to work The power seat motor makes noise but the seat does not move The car will need a new convertible top but the frame and latches are good There is some rust through on the driver's floorboard The body is very straight but the car will need some rust repair in the lower quarter panels This is a rare car with the 428 motor and will be worth quite a bit of money when it is restored Please check our feedback rating (100%) and bid with confidence.
