This Beetle was purchased by the original owner who was a school teacher and mostly drove it to work and back. It has always been kept in a garage since I have owned it. It was purchased in 1976, in good running order and completely rebuilt in 1981, the rebuilt engine has about 20,000 miles on it, and was lightly used until around 1997. It has been in a garaged ever since. Currently it is not running, a few years ago I bought a new battery, changed the oil/filter, emptied out the gas tank, and put new fuel in. It would not turn over, but engine does crank by hand freely. It looks like it only needs a new starter, breaks cleaned and gas drained and refueled again. It was also repainted in 1981. One unique feature of this car is that the rear windows vent open. I have never seen this option on a Beetle of that era. There are some dings on the paint, however I did not notice any rust anywear except on some chrome parts which can be buffed out. When I rebuilt this car I also heavily rust proofed it. With a little tender loving care, a good cleaning and not much work needed this classic car will be running again. Then the new owner will have many years of enjoyment, and fond memories, like I have had with this car. Good Luck Bidding!
