2002 Volkswagon Jetta GLS This is currently my daily driver and there will be more miles by the time the car is sold. The car was purchased by my father from a local Volkswagen dealership at 45k miles. It had just recieved a new transmission at the time of purchase. It recieved a new motor at around 75k. The car drives good and strong but it needs a few things. The check engine light is on because of a P0420 code. This is most likely the code for a catalytic convertor. I put an aftermarket Magnaflow cat on it to resolve the issue, but apparently the car will only recognize an original VW part. So in order to pass inspection it will need a new cat. It also will need a new windshield. Other than that, the car needs some things, but nothing pressing. The tires are ok for now, but do not match. You'll probably want some within the year. It will need struts going forward as well, but I drive the car as is. The interior is dirty and could benefit from a good cleaning, but the leather is intact and there are no rips or tears. The pull handle on the driver door (not the handle to open the door), has broken. You can replace it relatively cheap. Heres an item number of one on eBay... 261339978596. The trunk doesnt open with the button on the door, so I open it from the latch on the inside of the trunk. The engine compartment is clean and was power washed a few months back. This car has many new parts that will insure it will be a driver for years to come.
