Wow what a cool find, This 1968 Ford Falcon Futura is a 4 door sedan with an automatic transmission and the famous Ford 289 V8 motor. This car appears to be all original, the shocks may have been switched at some point and time. The owner resides here in Colorado Springs, CO. The car is being sold on his behalf, to cover medial and living expenses. According to him he and his wife bought the Car new back in 1968. The car has been re titled the original title was lost sometime ago. I am selling the vehicle on his behalf, the title is a clear CO title, however the mileage will read exempt because his court appointed guardian had to obtain a duplicate title although the owner said that they are actual check out the pictures and you can be the judge. Overall the car is in great shape for its age. There are a couple of small dings and dents especially around the right rear light. When I picked the car up there was some oil spotting on the garage floor, and a bit of antifreeze so there may be some leakage, but I would expect that based on the age of the vehicle. The car has a white top it is not vinyl it is painted, I believe that it is factory paint but I cannot confirm that for certain, sorry I am not an expert on the 1960's era cars. The car did start up easily (I did have to pump it a few times) the transmission shifted smoothly. When I put the car into reverse there was a slight delay but it went in and seemed to work properly from that point on. Remember that this is an original Futura so I would expect some need for mechanical and cosmetic restoration but what a cool old car. There is a reserve price on the car, however I will approach the Guardian with the highest bid if the reserve in not met so please only bid if you intend to purchase the vehicle.
