Vehicle Detail

1977 MGB Roadster NO RESERVE Hi, thanks for checking out my 1977 MGB Roadster w/ rare Overdrive Option. This car is in very nice condition, looks great, drives great, nice glossy paint, nice interior and top. This car was repainted about 20 years ago, and is a very nice driver. The MGB is one of my favorite cars of all time, they have very good performance, and for a small car they really do have a lot of room if you are taller person, compared to a lot of mini type cars. This is a NO RESERVE auction, meaning that I do want to sell it, every bid counts, top bid at the end gets the car, to me no reason to put a reserve on it, you and the market can decide what it is worth, not fun bidding on cars with reserve, with that said, hope I don't lose my, you know what, lol. Anyways, please really take a look at all the photos, read the description, it will help you understand what the car is. I have taken photos inside and out, so you can really see what it is. This car does not have the rust issues, like many British cars suffer, good condition. This car is very solid which is hard to find, especially one that you can, jump in and drive to your local British Field meet, and local cruise in and show. Please give me a call if you have more questions, would be glad to talk to you about the car. Thanks and Happy Bidding, Jason 503-910-2085 This car is believed to have only 83,099 miles on it, the last owner had it parked since 2004, and the previous owner got it in the 1980's, and did not drive it very often all those years. I was told it had 83K on it, I do not have documentation on the miles, but after being around the car, underneath and and just looking at various things, it sure seems like it. But assume it has rolled over at least once, because I do not have documentation. The car is very clean, no signs of any rust repairs, no signs of any accidents, inside all the aprons, inner tubs all look very nice, and accident free. For a MGB, it is really solid, with no current major rust problems, Original Floors, no repairs, beautiful rockers, I have owned many of these cars and I was very impressed when I put it up on my lift in my shop. The body on the car is very straight. The body is very nice, very straight when you look down the sides it is very impressive. The paint is about 20 years old, but it does have a very nice shine, and gloss to it. It does have some small chips, and a few light scratches from being driven, but nothing that really stands out that much, must normal wear and tear. It would show very nice at a British Field meet, or car show, or just a nice drive in the evening with the top down. Maybe one day you might want to paint it down the road, but to me, I would just keep it waxed nicely, and drive it and enjoy it, it is not a trailer queen, but it is nice. I wouldn't call it a show car or anything, but a very, very nice driver, that you can enjoy and drive. The Interior is in nice condition. The seats show a little wear, but there are no tears in them, very clean for their age, and feel great. The dash pad has a crack in the center of it. The door panels look good, carpet is in nice shape. Original MG rubber floor mats in decent shape. The glass is in very nice shape no chips or cracks. The side door glass rolls up and down nicely. The convertible top is nice, rear window has a little cloud to it. There is on little rip in the top on the side, were it got pinched when it was folded down. It could be repaired pretty easily, but it is there. The top does go up and down nicely. The only gauge not working is the Gas Gauge. All the other gauges are working. Horn, wipers and Map light do work. Behind the passenger seat, there is a battery shut off for safety, lots of MG's have this that I have owned. But I have noticed from time to time with it, that there is a battery drain, not sure where it is yet. So I always turn off the switch when I park it over night, just got in habit. The cigarette lighter is not working currently as well. Overall a non smoker, smells pleasant, and clean decent interior. Mechanically it starts right up, and runs nice. Just a blast to drive down the road feels really good. It likes to warm up a little before you take off. It has been upgraded with a Weber Carb, and header, much more reliable. I have not done any major tuneup on it, but to me it runs pretty good, this winter you might want to do a good general tune up and maintenance. It does not burn any oil or blow smoke, very clean running little MGB. There is a little seapage, from the oil pan, nothing of any major concern, maybe a small drip over the weekend after driving it, probably needs a new pan gasket down the road. This car is equipped with a 4spd with Overdrive. Not all MGB's had this, it was a pretty rare option, and it does work like a dream no problems with it. The brakes work good, but are a tiny bit soft, the feel good, but probably need a good bleeding down the road, no issues really right now, because it does stop nice and straight. All the exterior lights are working, turnsignals, brake lights etc. Mechanically, start it up, and enjoy the ride. The tires are in excellent shape, have about 95% tread on them, P195/60/15 Kelly Charger Radial. Wheels are 8 Spoke, very nice looking wheel, with longer spokes, much better looking then the Minilite. The car has not been out on the road as a dialer driver since 2004, but it is in good operational condition right now. Overall mechanically, it just needs to be driven, maybe do a few upgrades here and there, and just keep it maintained, like any vintage British Car. This is a NO RESERVE, starting bid at $19.77, yes NO RESERVE, top bid gets it. View the pictures read the auction, if you have more questions let me know, would be glad to help you out.
