While the miles are at 224K, that's really only an average of 7200 miles per year. This car has been lovingly cared for, always garaged and even covered in the garage. The paint is beautiful! Very shiny, with only a couple of scratches and a few very small dents on the right rear quarter panel; the dents are so tiny you can't even see them in the pictures, except the one on the gas door. The motor runs smooth and quiet, with no leaks, and has just received a full service. If you have ever owned one of these fine automobiles, you know how wonderful they are. Just running around town is fun, and a top-down ride on a beautiful day is pure pleasure! I have driven SL’s for 33 years, I can tell you, this is an extremely nice car, NO RUST EVER! Hard top and soft top. The original soft top has had some repairs but it is still in very good condition. The interior is in excellent condition, the original leather seats are still beautiful and have lots of padding. The wood grain is gorgeous and the very expensive Momo steering wheel matches the wood grain nicely; unfortunately the steering wheel has a couple of rough spots on the back side. Very clean, all lights, power windows, horn, and gauges work, including the clock. A/C comes on but doesn't blow cold. If you have ever wanted an SL of this vintage but don’t want to nurse a worn out car then this is the car for you! 224000 miles are nothing to a good well-cared-for Mercedes, and it would be hard to find one better cared for than this one. VERY VERY CLEAN! Owned by a non smoker; the ashtray has never been used. Not a 100 point show car, but a car you will be proud to drive and own. Drive this beauty every day for the price of a used Camry. Clear California title, tags paid until April 2015. Available for inspection during the auction by appointment.
