As per our vehicle replacement program, this vehicle is being offered for surplus sale. There are scratches and abrasions from fleet use. There are, holes from antenna, rotating light and interior mounted equipment. This unit does NOT have power locks, windows or mirrors. The tailgate is damaged as is the front bumper. Please view photos. Additionally this truck has damage to top of bed rails from having toolboxes mounted. Vehicle has no spare tire. This unit is being sold as parts or repair. The engine does run very rough and be advised at 61,041 miles there was a slight popping noise heard from the air intake with engine running. The truck was taken to the local Ford dealership where they replaced rocker arms and pushrods; a weak cylinder was noted with the possibilities of a bent intake valve. There was an improvement in performance after the repairs were made but the engine shortly regressed to running rough again. After again consulting with the Ford dealership they recommended replacement of the lower engine block and one head. Please consider this when bidding. It is recommended that this unit be towed from our facility. Fairly recent replacements include: ball joints and alignment at 51,734 miles and complete rear axle replacement with Jasper remanufactured unit at 56,010 miles. The Forest Preserve District of Will County is listing another vehicle and equipment at this time. Please search E-Bay by our seller name: FPDFLEET. Our office hours are M-F 0700 until 1500 hrs. viewing, pick up and questions will be handled during these times. Being a local governmental offering, this auction is for 10 (ten) days. There is NOT a buy it now option, please do not ask to end this auction early. Winning bidder is the new owner, upon receipt of full payment a clear Illinois title will be provided with all vehicles.
