With a new head gasket, this truck would be a great weather beater, farm truck or commuter in poor weather. Fixed up, it could be a good off-road 4x4 or beach vehicle. Three years in upstate NY put some rust in the body, especially around the tailpipe. Tires have good tread left, never any transmission problems (towed a light trailer with it perhaps half a dozen times in 20 years). Brakes are good. I had a tune-up and a new radiator put in about a month before the head gasket blew. Before that it ran great - I only ever had to do the regular maintenance (oil, fluids, one brake change, a starter). I have maintained all maintenance records on this truck from garage type work (no oil changes - I always did those myself). I did make an insurance claim on this truck due to tornado damage in 2008 (minor paint damage and broken windshield, which was replaced. I also put a new chrome bumper on at that time). Pictures show the tongue and ball on the hitch, but those will be removed for my replacement truck. This has been a hardy truck and before the gasket blew I never had a problem with the motor. With some TLC you could get 100,000 or more miles out of it.
