This is an authentic z/28 with protecto plate and the original engine, transmission and rear end. Bought from the original owner 4 years ago after being stored for may years. Years ago the original owner started to restore the car but never got a good start. He took the engine apart had the block bored.030 and decked with new cam bearings and freeze plugs and then stopped working on it. Since it was bored he sold the pistons and never bought new ones. Also because it was decked the assembly code is not on the engine but it is on the protecto plate as shone in the pictures. The car has the original paint so what you see is what you get, absolutely no filler. The engine block is casting # 3970010, date I 8 0 the assembly code was V1130CGR. It has windage tray, oil pan, rods, and crank #1182. I believe everything is there except pistons and cam and lifters. The heads are casting # 3973487, date H 7 0 and H 20 0. They are complete with screw in studs and guide plates. The valve covers are original aluminum with drippers. Harmonic balancer is # 3942538. Car comes with original aluminum intake # 3959594 and Holley carb. # 3989022 list 4800 dated 092 also has the dual snorkel air cleaner, distributor # 1112074 date 0H11, alternator # 1100837 0H3 37A. Water pump pulley is # 3995647 AP, crank pulley # 3956668 the radiator is the original Harrison with part number 3021304 assembly code M. Still has original pulley on the power steering pump. The car has the original Turbo 400 transmission with the CY tag and the matching VIN # on it. Also comes with the 6 bolt torque converter and flywheel. Rear axle is the original with 3:73 positrac has CGG 026 on the tube. Also has the sway bar. The car also has all five of the original Z/28 wheels. This car has the original seats and interior but needs restored. The parts to restore this car are readily available in reproduction. Also any parts that might be missing are common parts available. The car needs sheet metal work but after the restoration you would have a rare sunflower yellow Z/28 with original drivetrain backed up with the documentation of the original protecto plate.
