This is a 1981 VW pickup with 188,500 miles. I have owned the truck for three years and it has been my daily driver (40 mile round trip). The truck ranges 43 to 51 MPG winter to summer. Motor is strong, good starter in the winter. At 160,000 miles I replaced brakes and lines all around including calipers, rotors, wheel cylinders, drums and master cylinder. Timing belt and tensioner pulley, accessory belts, water pump, radiator, glow plugs and alternator. The injector pump has had new "cold start shaft" seals installed. When I first got the pickup the sunroof (after market) had been leaking for years (sat for about 10 years) and floor pans were rotted, I replaced both floor pans. I have kept the truck garaged but the sunroof still has a leak. The interior is very rough. The truck has had front and rear collision damage and was repaired crudely (prior to my ownership). There are electrical issues, everything works with the exception of the fuel gauge but wiring has been altered from factory. The truck is PA inspected current through 6/15. The tires are 40% to 50%. The pictures speak for themselves, it is not a peach but it has been good to me and saved me a lot of money on fuel costs. For those that know the 1.6l NA diesel there is not a lot of power there (52hp rating). Grill and rims are from a GTI and are not original, rims and tires are 14 inch so the speedo is off by 12% (original rims and tires were 13 inch). The truck is for sale locally so the auction may be ended at any time. I do not care for reserve auctions so I have a starting bid price that will sell the pickup.
