For sale is a 1971 firebird with the trans am body and decals. The decals match the 1973 trans am. The car currently has no transmission installed in it. It does have a pontiac 400 with a ram air III intake, ram air IV camshaft and 6X heads. This is a rare and sought after car that is becoming more difficult to find. You have the benefit here of having much of the work done for you on this project. The paint is fresh, however it is not perfect though it is a good driver quality. The car has the original 165 mph speedo and a 6000 rpm tach with clock. This is a project car. The car is 43 years old and as such it's suspension needs attention as well as the interior. I do have the original front and back seats in the car. I had planned to use their frames and replace both the foam and seat coverings. You may choose to do this or replace the seats from another donor. This car was originally an automatic. The car has the original center console and I have installed the hidden GM slap stick shifter from a 1979 trans am. The floor of the car was rusted through in several places. I have cut the rusted areas out and have the new sheet metal in the car to start the repair. Along with the car I am also including a matching set of 4 1971 14x7 pontiac honeycomb wheels. This is another item that is becoming more and more difficult to locate. The elastomeric on all 4 wheels is in excelent contrition. You are still able to transfer ownership and register the vehicle in GA. It is your responsibility to check the local regulations where you are regarding this.
