Vehicle Detail
Rusty Geo Tracker - runs and drives, but probably best used as parts or project car. I would not advise taking it on the highway or putting children in the back seat. Wife bought this 5 years ago with 129,000 miles, used two years as daily driver, has mostly sat the last three years, with occasional use in winter storms and taking the dogs to the vet, getting christmas tree, etc. No reserve - we just want it out of the yard. Buy it and drive it home. Sold as-is where-is. No warranty implied. We want it gone and out of sight, out of mind. I will do my best to describe it honestly, but as-is. We have clear title in hand. Title says "Mileage Not Required", which is due to the age of the car, I guess. The good: New tires and soft top at purchase 13,000 miles ago Engine always starts and runs nice Four wheel drive works All the major stuff seems to be OK New battery 01/13 New starter installed two years ago New brake line installed last year The bad: Rusty! Seeps a bit of oil. We just topped it off every month, you will need to keep an eye on it. Used to seep power steering fluid, I used the stop leak, and it seems to be OK now Fuel gauge does not work (We used the trip odometer) A/C does not work - throwing in a recharge kit, but I have no idea if that's all it is Driver's interior door handle cracked - works, but you need to finesse it Rear hatch handle gone - I cut a hole in the plastic so I can open with my finger Rust through in rear floor patched very unprofessionally - I just wanted to make sure no exhaust gas was getting in. This may affect the integrity of the rear seat restraints. Do not put kids in the back unless checked out by a professional! The jack is there, but no lugnut wrench. I'd advise getting a breaker bar and 19mm socket to keep in there 4WD locking hubs - one is easy to turn, the other is not. We kept a vise-grips in the glove box for that one. No owner's manual, but we got a repair guide off eBay that you can have The ugly: Sitting outside all summer undriven, it got some mice in it. There is some mouse smell from the heater. Internet says pulling the blower fan to clean it out is three bolts, and a quick job for the mechanically inclined. I am not mechanically inclined...
