Vehicle Detail
Selling my CB400F. Great running and looking bike. It still zips around like it should. It's very fast for a 1977 400cc as we all know. The bike is very clean and always gets lots of attention plenty of compliments when people see it. Here is a run down of the condition of this little gem. This bike had fallen on it's left side years ago, and a dent in the gas tank is all that bears testament to that fall. Great appearance overall, bold bright original paint, bright chrome, high chrome like gauge bases, handle bars and fork nuts are all super nice, low chrome like front rim, fender and chain guard have some pits, with a few pits even in the rear fender. All the chrome whether pitted or perfect is still shiny bright. Engine looks really good paint wise but shows some wear in the paint. I am an original condition lover and am never in a hurry to make things look perfect so I resisted the temptation to paint the engine covers to obtain that perfect look. Gauges were replaced and between the new gauge and the old damaged one mileage will be right around 4600. The faces were re-done on the gauges so they look super nice and the speedo is a replacement. Exhaust end is not original and has some chrome fade, but sounds very cool and has no rust. Tires are older. Tank has a dent on the left side, bold looking original red paint, good stickers, and is spotless inside. Side covers are a little south of perfect. Has tool tray under seat. The seat looks like it is fresh off the dealer shelf-best seat I ever saw on one of these bikes. The bike is titled Wisconsin style which means the title is attached to the motor vin number. That's how bikes were sold in those years, on motor VINS. It was a Harley Davidson influenced thing. If purchased I want full payment, but if the bike could sit here until you could pick it up. I would permit 60 days pick up time. I reserve the right to admire the bike until pickup can be arranged. Call me to discuss things further. Eric 92O-2O5-OO13.
