MINI MOKE 1967 ~ One owner since new! Be sure to watch the YouTube videos below. After video starts, click on Settings icon at bottom right of viewer & select 1080p HD under Quality. NOTE: If text appears scrambled or overlapping, try refreshing or reloading the page to display properly.*For 22 more pictures of undercarriage etc. please scroll to bottom of listing *I purchased this Moke new in 1967 from the former Penn Motors in Bryn Mawr, PA. I was driving past the showroom, saw it sitting there, thought it was the coolest thing & had to have it. I’m still in love with it today & so is everyone else when I drive it. It’s like having your own parade, getting smiles, waves & thumbs-up from everyone. Unfortunately as I get up in years it’s driven less & less & it needs a new family to enjoy it.If you’re here, you probably already know that Sir Alec Issigonis designed the immortal Mini on which this is based using the same suspension, gearbox and 10 inch wheels as the standard Mini. The intent was to develop them for the military, but that didn’t pan out so they began civilian production in 1964 w/ British production ending in 1968 totaling 5422 Austin produced models. The Moke was thoroughly gone through & sorted out in `91 at British Sports Car Specialists in Lakewood, NJ addressing any & all issues & has been garaged & regularly maintained since. I had it professionally painted white from the original green in 2009 & replaced the original khaki seat covers that go w/ the car w/ the nice blue ones in 2010 along w/ a new top in 2009. It has a lockable rear storage box along w/ the ample side storage compartments. It has the current PA inspection & I wouldn’t hesitate to drive it anywhere as I’ve done w/ 150 mile R/T’s to the Jersey shore w/o a glitch. I have all the original manuals, sales receipts, pictures, literature, club info, resources, invoices etc. in a nice scrapbook that will be passed on to the new owner.~ CONDITION ~ Exterior: Originally Spruce Green, professionally resprayed to White, the only other factory color available. Paint is not Show Quality but presents well showing my touch-up overspray around lenses & bezels; this can be easily removed. Panel gap particularly doors, almost invisibleJ, otherwise, solid, original panels w/ no rust. All lights, wipers work, & tires are nearly new as is the top.Interior: Original Khaki seats come w/ car & will need resto. New blue seats are in Excellent condition. Lockable storage box secured behind rear seats & original jack & tools are in the side compartments. Lap belts F & R. Gas gauge is intermittent.Engine/Driveline: Excellent, low mileage, original 850 cc A-series engine & original transaxle. Very clean engine & bay w/ no leaks or drips. New, 1 month old battery. Undercarriage: Solid original panels showing minor rust to the rear of both front wheels as seen in the pics. These areas can easily be wire-brushed & repaired w/ POR-15 or the like. Structurally, vehicle is not affected & floorboards are solid w/ no rust-through. Road Test/Mechanically: Engine runs strong & smooth, gearbox shifts nicely & the brakes stop well w/ slight pull to right. Rack & Pinion steering is light & precise & body has minimal to no roll. SUMMARYAlthough not the rarest vehicle, they’re seldom seen let alone in this fine condition. Perfect for a fair weather get-around at home, in a gated or retirement community, small towns, on the farm or ranch and of course very popular in resort/tourist areas around the world & any kind of business promotion, movie or wedding rental. Seats come out for extras storage whether hauling hay, yard sale items, you name it. I had help listing this on ebay & he misread the odometer. Anyway, this is good news!
