Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on my 1962 Chevy Impala Super Sport. As the pics show, this is a one of a kind car modified with suspension from a 1996 ZR1 Corvette. I bought this car in 2009 with the suspension already completed and the body back on the car. It had a 283 with an automatic transmission. I replaced the power train with a .030 over 327. The motor is fresh with GM Bowtie heads, hydraulic roller cam and HEI ignition. I also replaced the automatic transmission with a muncie 4 speed and hydraulic clutch. There isn't 1,000 miles on the power train. Just last year, I had custom stainless headers made complete with a full stainless exhaust. As you can imagine, the car handles good and is fun to drive around town. That being said, this car is still very much a project. It needs quite a bit of TLC. Mostly small stuff like the heater and radio don't work. The gas gauge doesn't work right. It needs the gauges installed, etc. The car needs to be gone through from front to back to make it right. The body photographs well, but it really needs straightening and paint. Has a dent in the drivers door and the body work could have been better. The previous owner installed new quarters and a front clip from another car, but it needed more body work before it went to paint. The stainless is all there and in decent shape. The seats and headliner are in good condition, but the carpet and lower kick panels and door panels need some attention. If your looking for a drag car, this isn't the car for you, but if your looking for a great platform to build a restomod, or just complete a cool street car, you may want to look at this one. My intentions were to completely go through the car, fresh paint, rims and tires and build a really cool resto mod, but I simply don't have the time and it doesn't leave the garage. I am selling the car locally and reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Thanks for the interest and good luck bidding!
