Vehicle Detail

This is the last year of the beautifully styled "boattail" Riviera. With its extremely long hood, arcing lines, and curved rear glass, this was a bold design and one of the last of the great luxury coupes of that era. Under the hood is a powerful 455 cu in V8 that is more than capable of moving this beastly coupe. When I first bought the car, I went through everything mechanically and got it in perfect running condition. The car is safe to drive, runs smoothly, and has a relatively new set of whitewall tires. Cosmetically, it needs some TLC. The previous owner (dealer) slapped a poor paint job on it and I never took the time to address that. The landau top started to tear more and more, so I removed it completely to reveal a top that needs to have the surface rust removed. This car sits outside (one reason I want to sell it) and it doesn't leak one drop. Any visible rust is all surface rust and should be able to be removed easily. For full disclosure, I will list all the issues I currently know with the card Gas gauge just stopped working last week - most likely needs a new fuseAir conditioning is not blowing very cold, but did after it was overhauled - worked great until recentlyRear passenger power window slipped off its arm. The arm still works, glass just needs to be reattached. It's currently in the closed position, so no leak.Remote outside mirror is loose and doesn't respond to inside armNot all radio speakers work, but did at one point.Engine runs very well, but needs a tuneup as it stalled recently, but restarted and drove fine. As mentioned, this car is a real beauty and still gets lots of thumbs-ups and comments. It's fun to take on long drives and just cruises. I will include plenty of pictures to give you a full idea of it's exterior condition. Mechanically, I have saved every receipt (over $6,000 in repairs) to show exactly what has been done to the car. I have had it appraised recently for over $20,000 based on the mechanical condition, rarity, and restoration potential. If the car was properly prepped, painted and tweaked, classic book values show numbers in the high twenties and low thirties. I just don't have the time or resolve for the exterior restoration and want to move on.
