Vehicle Detail

The Ultimate MGB. This particular example is likely one of the best older restoration driver/ show cars out there. The Late chrome bumper cars were the pinnacle of production in many enthusiasts opinion. Still with the classic chrome bumpers and traditional grill, but with such upgrades as comfortable seats, face level ventilation, Full syncro gearbox and a host of other improvements that made it much easier to live with. This Example takes it several steps further and is equipped with some rare options and upgrades. It was restored several years ago and during the restoration It was fully restored with all newly rebuilt drivetrain as well as some performance and comfort options. During the rebuild it received a faster yet still mild road cam, high compression head, hardened valves, polished intake and was fully balanced. It runs extemely well, and is fast without being difficult to drive or losing any reliablity. A Lucas Sports Coil was also added for better performance and reliability. It is also equipped with a factory MGB Overdrive transmission which was fully rebuilt at the time of the restoration and works perfectly. This allows the car to cruise at much lower RPMs and more relaxed at speed. The transmission upgrade is extremely rare and sought after. It has also had a full brake rebuild along with the rest of the driveline rebuild. This car was originally equipped with factory wire wheels new performance tires. This is a rare option in the early 70s cars as well. Cosmetically, the paint is still in great shape. It has a good shine and has no large paint flaws or problems such as dents, rust bubbles etc. The interior has been redone as well with leather seats, new carpet, panels and new convertible top. A new factory style Moto-Lita wood steering wheel and matching shift knob rounds it out. The trunk has been restored and looks near perfect. It also has a modern stereo which works perfectly. This is a rare opportunity, If you want one of the best prepared MGBs out there at a very reasonable price. I looked all over to find such a car, and very few exist. The cost of the upgrades alone would cost more than the price of the car. That does not include finding such a nice rust free chrome bumper MGB.
