Vehicle Detail

This great old family member has been in my care for the last 8-years, in that time I've driven it and used it as a truck should be used. I take great care of my cars so no abuse has been bestowed on "Old Blue" but it has cut firewood, hauled mulch and carried its share of canoes down to the river. When I purchased Blue it was under a house in Ohio, a fella had taken it as collateral on a loan to one of his employees. He wasn't sure how the long the truck sat there, but it had been for some years. When I got the truck home I thought my wife was going to kill me, but Blue cleaned up and through time I had it running like a top. In 2006, shortly after the trucks purchase, I had the engine and transmission rebuilt and new radial tires put on the rims. Since then I've replaced or rebuilt just about everything on the truck. Mileage is an unknown on Blue, I've put about 4,000 miles on the motor since the rebuild in 2006. There are always things to do when it comes to maintaining an antique automobile. Blue could use paint, I haven't painted the truck because if I did I would no longer use it as I do and I'm not interested in a trailer queen. The windshield motor was replaced in the last year or so and I haven't gotten under the dash to see what's up with that. The body is straight and firm, no rust in the back lower corners of the cab and the running boards have no give. There is rust behind the front wheels on the firewall, but nothing I've seen necessary to fix (it's unseen and on a flat area easily fixed). The oil pan has hair line cracks on the bottom and does drip a little oil, the seals are good though the nuts (2 on each) on the valve covers do loosen over time. The gas and eletric gauge don't work, but the spedometer and temperature gauge do. The floor mat and seat covering are in good shape and the headliner is fair. Pictures posted will be updated and more added to show the areas discussed. If you would like specific pictures of anything in particular just give me a shout and I'll get them to you. Thanks for your interest, this will be as much of an adoption as it will be selling a car so those with courteous questions will be answered and dealt with in a kind professional manner, others should move on and look at a different truck. Thanks again
