For sale - restored 1951 Chevy 3100 stepside pickup. This vehicle has original drive train. Original 216 cu in 6 cylinder. 4 speed manual transmission, torque tube, rear end. This vehicle has gotten treated to 3" lowering springs/shocks, rebuilt drum brakes, brand new radial tires and restored Chevy artillery wheels, new bed wood kit with stainless hardware, new bumpers/grill/lights, new wiring/fuse block and ready for additions in the future. Steering column has been shortened to give the driver more room. All new rubber gaskets throughout, new glass on all windows, new headliner, visor, trim pieces. All new battery, coil, resistors and wiring. New interior door knobs/handles/mirrors/rubber floor mat. New exhaust with stainless tip. Engine was tuned and carburetor rebuilt. No rust in the floors, cab corners. This truck was meant to be driven. To that end we left the some of the dents and scratches the truck received through its life. It was then primed and painted hot rod black. There are 3 issues with the truck - 2nd gear is not working. The truck runs fine from 1-3-4. These trucks were geared very low so by 20 mph you are in 4th gear, 2nd is the heater core has been bypassed, the motor and controls were rebuilt for 12V operation but there is a leak in the heater core. The 3rd is the drivers rear fender at the running board needs a small repair (see photo). This truck would be a perfect candidate for a V8 conversion and why we did not want to rebuild the existing trans. We have a running 327 Chevy V8 (in my daily driver '40 Ford Coupe), radiator, and a TH 350 auto transmission we can package this with the truck for an additional $1100.00 (see pictures of the engine). We will invoice this separately and it will not be sold as part of this auction price. Since the truck has its original drive train there are many who would love it as is and you only have that once. This truck fires right up, goes down the road well and turns a lot of heads. If you are looking for a truck that isn't over restored, one you can drive around town and hit Lowes or Home Depot and fill it up with your next project this is the one. Would also make a great advertisement for your restaurant or business. This car is being sold locally and we hold the right to end the auction early. The truck has a clear NC title.
