I am only the second owner of this vehicle. My long time friend purchased this vehicle when new and I eventually purchased it from him. I still have the orginal paperwork on the truck. It is the last year that Toyota put a solid front axle in the four wheel drive. I work about a hour away from home and have driven this truck back and forth to work for several years. It is a very good runninng and handling truck. I regularly average around 22-25 mpg. It has been maintained and serviced regularly and is in great running shape. The exterior needs some attention however. I still have the original driver seat that came in the truck but as you can tell from the pictures, I put a bucket seat out of a 88 4Runner in the drivers spot. The truck will come with the original seat also. All the four wheel drive works along with all the other components. I have had the timing changed as per schedule and it was just changed this past December. Along with the timing chain, I also have the water pump, thermostat, and hoses changed each time during the same maintainence. I had a Rancho suspension installed several years ago with Rancho Shocks and red boot covers. It has a square tube receiver hitch on the rear and a chrome push bar added to the front as you can see from the pictures. Now for what does need attention: The AC no longer works, the shop said the compressor needs to be replaced but I just haven't had the need to have the work done. The cruise control does not work and my friend said it never worked from the day he purchased the truck. (i have no idea what is wrong with it). The exterior is needing a repaint job. It has a couple small rust holes near the rear fender on one side. The other side has a dent in the fender where someone backed into me at the hunting camp. I have a brand new left fender that will be given to the purchaser. I have tried to photo every place mentioned above to give you the most accurate description of what it looks like. A few of the specs: 2.4 RE SOHC engine with EFI, 5 speed overdrive manual transmission, 2-Speed transfer case, Detachable Hard Top w/sliding windows, Free Wheel/Locking Hubs, Power Front disc brakes, Protective skid plates, Heavy duty off road Suspension, Reclining bucket seats, front and rear mud guards, power rear window, Pioneer stereo, and variable power assist power steering.
