Vehicle Detail
This classic was discovered in a barn from the Midwest, it was stored for about 20 years. This is a great opportunity for the person who wants to drive a true classic muscle car, before starting a possible restoration. , It is all original Candyapple Ford Red with a repaint over 25 years ago. I think the only things aren't original are the steering wheel, front fiberglass bumper and air cleaner. I put a lot of work to get it running and drivable. However it is not road worthy, partially due to the rear drum brakes not working. It will definitely be able to get on and off a trailer. This appears to be the original 351 Windsor, and it runs strong with no blowing oil. I think it has a bigger cam. One RARE item on this is the "Buddy Bar" aluminum intake manifold #C90X-9424-A, if you don't know, please research this NASCAR icon $$$$. Simply put this manifold was used with Shelby back in the day.... This is the real deal.....look at the pic. The original interior which is RARE, having a bucket seat with console, the condition is remarkable. There weren't many made, most have a bench seat. It has a 9", 3:00 ratio rear end. The extra options were the FMX automatic trans and front DISC BRAKES! It also has the argent steel wheels with emblems. I have the "Marti Report" to back all of this, see pic. The worst rust is on the front portion, left and right floor. Partial rear frame rails seen in the trunk, and some of the panels. Again look at the pics. The L&R door windows are off the track. All the glass is in excellent shape. All trim is good as well. The headliner is loose. The hood scoop is awesome, and it is functional. The turn signals, lights and dash gauges work except for tach. There are also aftermarket gauges installed on the left of the dash. I have some extra parts....manual, paperwork, original ford carb. It has a new battery. This GT is good, and I have set a FAIR reserve, this opportunity doesn't come around often! I have to state the typical DO NOT BID unless you will purchase this classic.......NO SCAMMERS, FAKE BIDDERS ETC....I would like you to contact me via phone, with ANY questions, pics etc..at 773)443-9544-Kevin. A $500 NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT DUE WITH IN 24 HOURS OF AUCTION CLOSE. PICK UP AND FINAL PAYMENT WITHIN 7 DAYS UNLESS OTHERWISE DISCUSSED. I AM FLEXIBLE. I also know of a transporter that is in the Midwest, He owns his company and is real fair.....He is not a broker and when you deal with him, its only him and he is the driver. Please ask for info. Thanks for bidding.
