I have for your consideration a 1978 Lincoln Continental. It has approx 67,000 original miles on it. It has the 460 engine, with automatic transmission. Both of which operate nicely. The vehicle was repainted and a new vynil top put on in 1994 by Alexander Ford, near Nashville, TN. The vehicle was hardly driven after that work was done. Spending most of it's life in a climate controlled basement. You can see by the pictures the paint, and top show very nicely. The interior is leather and shows nicely for a car that is 36 years old. After I purchased the car, the following work was performed: New gas tank, sending unit and fuel pump.All new belts.Water pump/timing chain cover was leaking. All of that was fixed/replaced.Since we were close, and the OEM timing gears were nylon, I replaced the timing chain and gears. Complete tune up, new plug wires distributor cap, plugs etcFluids changed, prior to any attempt to start the vehicle.New battery.New tires.New front brakes and rotors.The air conditioner has been covered to R134A and blows cold. I had the car detailed, and it uncovered the very very nice paint job you see in the pictures. Here are the issues left with the car: The power door locks are not working.The left turn signal inside does not illuminate. turn signals work fine.The car has no catalytic converters on it. I have antique plates on it and they are not required. If needed I can get them put on for $250, if needed. Everything else works on the car to the best of my knowledge. Radio, power antenna, power windows including the power "vent" windows, power seats, all lights, headlight covers, etc etc The car is sold "as is" no warranty express or implied. 500 dollar deposit via Paypal, balance in cash or cashier's check. All checks must clear before the car will be released.This car has a lot of potential, and a lot of life left in her. I have a start price that is way below N.A.D.A high retail.
