Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a rare 1970 CB750 K0, This is an early 70's so it has some sandcast type attributes like the carbs with the 4 into 1 cables, exhaust with no HM # stamp and the exhaust clamps. This bike sat since 1999 I removed and cleaned the carbs and cleaned the points up put a good battery in it and started it up, it runs and drives, does not smoke and sounds strong. The exhaust is welded were the mufflers meet the headers on the left side, the right #4 header is dented, the mufflers on the left are very nice there are no rust holes in any mufflers that I can see and the baffles are in good condition. This is a great candidate for a full restoration, the chrome comes clean with a little work ( I cleaned some of the exhaust , fenders and wheels with aluminum foil and water just to show potential) .The gauge's and fork ears are not correct for the year as well as the rear fender and tail light nor is the seat the rest seems to be correct. The engine serial #1018789 is also a correct 1970 model tho most likely not the original as stated above it does run. This is not a road worthy machine as is, it will take some work, but has a lot of potential to be a great collectable piece. This a rare opportunity to own the first super bike, it will only continue to gain value as there are only a few of these machines left and getting less every year. Cycle magazine named the K0 cb750 the most important motorcycle produced in the last 100 years, they changed the world of motorcycling, racing and manufacturing forever, and still influence todays superbikes. Thank you for looking and good luck bidding on this piece of motorcycling history. Please view video of this bike running at.... http://youtu.be/AoybqyM5L90
