1967 VOLKSWAGEN TYPE I - BEETLE CABRIOLET complete original condition, running and driving with good brakes. The body and pan are a matching pair (matching vin # car) This is a fine candidate for a restoration. Car is in running and driving condition but it is NOT road worthy. The engine starts up with ease and does not smoke or puff. The tires are dry rotted and worn, they do hold air but were made by JC Penny (when is the last time Penny's made tires?) Convertible top is in need of a redo but is complete, has some rips on the edges but overall holds out the elements. The headliner is in tact and in good shape. It retracts good and locking mechanisms are all functioning. I have driven the car and was able to go through all the gears without any problems. But the tires are not road worthy and this car has been parked for a long time. Doors are solid, windows are in good shape, all work and the chrome/ stainless is there. Rear deck lid is good, as is the front hood. The nose and rear section has no signs of damage or accidents. The original hardboard is still in good shape Front end is solid. The overall damage that needs attention is the bottom side of the heater channels, battery tray area and floor board area in front of battery. I purchased this car with the intention of restoring it as it has been a desire of mine. Plans have changed and so I am offering it to the eBay world. If anyone out there is looking at this you already know what it is, its worth, the amount of work needed and the value once finished.
