Very collectible M Roadster! Meticulously maintained M roadster. Always fueled with the highest pump gas available 92 or 93. Stored winters. Owned by BMW enthusiast for 10 years, always garaged. Very solid and incredibly inspiring car to drive. Handles and brakes like nothing else. Acceleration is smooth and powerful. Alignment is straight and suspension tight. This has been my baby in a garage of 4 BMWs. You will be hard pressed to find many imperfections on this 16 year old high performance sports car. Never raced or abused. I've owned BMW's for 20 years. They are the ultimate driving experience! This car is the best money to performance value ratio you will ever find! Includes original manuals and soft top boot cover. New BMW brand Battery. Service indicator lights are showing 4 of 5 green bars. Service is due when all green bars have gone dark and the yellow bar illuminates. 100% stock, see photos for condition. Interior is black and has nice color, no dash cracks or major wear spots. Exterior is silver and shines very well, no major chips or scrapes. Black soft top in good condition, however window is somewhat weathered (as they all get), it cleans up well however. All photos are of the actual car and have been taken within the last 7 days On Jul-08-14 at 13:20:10 PDT, seller added the following information: Additional notes added July 8: Thanks to a few BMW enthusiasts who have emailed me to share what a fine car this is… I thought I’d pass along what I’ve heard. First, you can tell my car has spent very little time outside. It has always been garaged and in underground parking on the rare occasion it was driven to the office. Here’s a telltale sign. Look at the M emblem on the trunk or front fenders. See how mine has the original orange/red stripe next to the M. It looks like it did when new. Look at other cars with this emblem, some will have this same orange/red strip showing as now faded to pink or worse. These cars not only have more miles, but also have spent nights and days sitting outside when not racking up the miles. Now think of the paint condition and overall condition on these examples as a result… Second, for those performance minded people – this is a super car! Some claim, the M Roadster model was the fastest production car BMW had made to date in 1998. I haven’t verified this claim, but I can tell you, having driven a 3.0 6 cyl Z3 (owned by a family member) and my M Roadster – back to back – there is NOTHING in common in these cars. Handling, braking, acceleration at all speeds - from a stop, at 30 mph, or passing - EVERYTHING – is better with the M Roadster. Night and day differences. Some Sports Car publications reviews have drawn comparisons between the M Roadster and a race car! Third, beware of those Z3 cars that claim to be “M-edition” – this often refers to trim. Those cars are not an M roadster. Those cars have a trim piece or badge but not the superior mechanical and engineering components in the engine, driveline, braking, suspension, chassis, etc that makes a true M Roadster.
