Up for sale is a 1983 BMW R80 that is currently not running and has no title. I originally purchased this bike off eBay last spring from seller in Florida as a project to work on over the winter. However, like most project bikes that are listed on this site, the lack of time and space needed never came to fruition thusly leading to its relisting. When I got the bike it was running but in serious need of some TLC and for the most part it’s still in the same condition. I replaced the fork seals and added a pair of gators plus a set of Royal Enfield saddle bags. Shortly after I did tune up replacing the spark plugs and changing all the oils with a synthetic to which I found that the rear diff leaked and a low oil pressure light. From there it’s been sitting outside under a bike cover since last fall which is why I say that it is not running, it probably will start up with little fuss but since there’s a low oil light on I’d rather not risk doing any major damage. A local dealer told me that switching back to traditional oil should fix the problem but I never got around to doing that so I don’t know if that’d actually work. The only other issues I came across were the horn not working and the high beams only working when the button was held down, like wise the battery is dead and the tires are showing signs of dry rot, especially on the front. Also there's a small dent on the left front side of the gas tank from where the handlebars hit. Everything that you see in the pictures is included plus a bike cover. I have the bill of sale from the previous owner and the paperwork he was going to file to get a new title, if you know these bikes well it’s probably an easy process to get back on the road.
