Vehicle Detail

This head turning MGB was taken down to original paint and in some areas to bare metal. All doors, boot, hood, seats, carpet (replaced), lights, chrome, mirrors, bumpers, interior paneling, and windshield were removed for paint job. New parts were replaced (were required) or cleaned and treated. The bumpers were cleaned, surface rust removed and bumpers repainted with black rubberized paint. The wheels were also sanded and repainted. All areas were inspected for rust and was in very good condition it had minimal surface rust was in the usual spots. The paint job (by me) is not perfect but is now 3 years old and is holding up well. It looks good, but to a refined eye you will find minor mistakes. On each door rocker, there was rust that went through. These two spots were about the size of a dime. The rust was removed, repaired with bondo and cleaned, treated, primed and painted. The floorboards had some dime-sized rust that went through. These areas were repaired with welded steel patches and then treated, primed and painted. I installed heat shield and sound proffing on the floors. The entire car was painted, including the interior. The windshield and dashboard were removed for the paint job. The under carriage and wheel wells were cleaned, treated, and sprayed with undercoating. The exterior color is acrylic enamel, “Finish 1” stock Chrysler color called Champagne Pearl (gold). I will include the remaining half-gallon left over to the buyer for future touch ups. I installed a dashboard cover over the old one and replaced the 1976 dashboard with a 1975 anniversary edition dashboard. This MGB runs great and has been garage kept since I began the partial restoration in 2009. I drive it about once or twice a week on non rainy days. It has not had so much as a drop of rain on it. It idles smooth, accelerates well, and generally exhibits good performance. I have driven this car maybe 2-3k since owning it, it shifts through all gears smoothly and the clutch is strong. This car has a clean Florida Title in my name. Outline of current car systems: Fuel Gauge: works Speedometer and Tachometer: works Lights- all lights and turn signals work.
