Up for auction is this outstanding 1969 Buick Electra 225. Exterior Condition: This car is in superb cosmetic condition. There is no rust on the body, and the original paint is spotless with the exception of some very minor cracking near the front of the car, and a few weather spots on the hood. The tires on the car are in excellent condition. The windshield and rear window are both in excellent condition as well; there are no chips or cracks in any of them. The trunk lock cover/Buick logo is missing from the back of the car. The three curb feelers that survived the years are in good cosmetic condition. They help accentuate the classic nature of the car and complement the historical license plate. The deuce and a quarter badges on the rear quarter panels are both there and in very good condition. Interior Condition: The interior of the car is in very good cosmetic condition. The factory AM radio is still in the dash, but it no longer works. There is a CD player/stereo of an unknown brand inside the glove box, but it is missing its face plate. The stereo is wired in and connects to two Focal speakers mounted in the back of the car. The dashboard is in excellent condition; it looks completely original. There are no tears or scratches in the upholstery, the seats are in excellent condition minus a few tiny stains on the back seat and on the back of the driver's seat. The carpet on the floor has been protected by the floor mats and looks very good. The power seats and power windows all work perfectly. Operating Condition: The 430-4 big block is in extraordinary condition. It starts with no hesitation and no hints of any mechanical problems. There are a few rust spots on the exhaust manifolds and on the hood springs, but the engine is in very good cosmetic condition for its age. The original valve covers have been replaced with stainless steel valve covers. It runs even better than it looks, and the big V-8 has the deep throaty rumble that it should. It sounds particularly amazing under heavy acceleration. The car was tested up to 80 mph on the expressway with no shaking or rattling; it is 100% road worthy. This car is very comfortable to ride in and barely feels the bumps in the road. The transmission fluid is nice and clean, and the transmission shifts through all of the gears properly and without hesitating or jerking. All of the interior lights work, and the A/C works and blows nice and cold.
