A super clean and straight mostly original un-restored 1969 Penton Six Days 125 "Steel Tanker" This is a 2 owner bike that has been in indoor storage since the early 1970s. 2nd owner purchased bike a few years old Only rode/ raced the bike a couple times and put it up in the garage. This bike is in its mostly original unmolested 1960s/ 70s patina and all there except for a Preston petty rear fender that replaced the original rear fender back in the early 70's. This bike is not showroom perfect or restored but it is in really good straight and clean condition. Original tires are there and show nice for display but should be replaced if bike is to be ridden.there are small scratches, nicks, scuffs, small areas of light surface rust, and a couple of small repairs in original (rare 1968/69 short/low pleated seat) Air Filter cover is cracked but repaired, and original chrome steel rims are not perfect but show nice and shiny. But over all this bike is great. A real rare one in a million survivor with a nice vintage race patina!! Looks like a 5 year old used bike not 45 year old. Pictures tell the story. Also unlike most other Pentons currently and recently for sale on ebay this bike actually runs! Not "running when put away" Blah, Blah, Blah! after bike was removed from storage and thoroughly cleaned motor was checked all over and bike starts right up and runs great! And also has a clear original state of Michigan title. (from the early 70's) This bike Truly must be seen to be appreciated!!! The best part of this bike however is not only its original unmolested vintage patina. It is the fact that it is signed by Mr. John A. Penton himself (see pics) Bike is located in Lansing, Mi area and is also for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime if sold locally.
