Vehicle Detail
Classic and Rare 1990 E30 325is124,000 miles For sale here is an unspoiled, all original classic BMW. Only thing that's been updated is a new Scorpion exhaust system. Story: I bought this car last summer from a guy in Northern California. He was only the second owner. I flew out the San Jose and drove the car problem-free back to Denver. I drove through 100+ degree heat with the A/C on with no issues at all. The car was parked in the garage the entire winter and was never exposed to snow or any harsh weather. I've put about 2,500 miles on the car. Work I've had done:- Replaced the rear seal- New clutch- Replaced exhaust manifold gaskets and heat shields. - Removed the Clifford alarm system as it was occasionally interrupting the ignition. Since then, no problems at all.- Removed the pin-striping (I just didn't like the way it looked).- Changed the oil and filter. I've got a giant stack of records for this vehicle going back to 1990. It's never been in an accident and runs perfectly. Note on the tag near the engine that the timing belt will need to be replaced at 180,000 miles. So lots of time left on this typical E30 repair. Cosmetically the car looks great, I get compliments on it all the time. There are a few blemished on the paint however, and the dash does have a few minor cracks. List of original equipment, all in perfect working condition:- 5 speed manual transmission- Power assist steering- Independent MacPherson strut front suspension- Limited slip differential- Trip computer, with temperature and digital clock- A/C- Cruise Control- Four wheel disc brakes- Anti-lock braking system (ABS)- Sport seats- Dual electronically controlled side mirrors- Electric sunroof- Electric windows- Leather- Metallic paint- Original BMW sound system with cassette deck. I'll toss in a big box of cassettes that sound awesome.- Retractable antenna Happy bidding. Please contact me with any questions. (No, the Porsche shown in the last picture is not for sale. Just showing the E30 with his cousin) On Jun-25-14 at 08:22:11 PDT, seller added the following information: Answers to some questions I've received:- Odometer works fine.- I've added some VIN tag photos. All still original.- No oil leaks. Rear seal had a leak but that was fixed when the clutch was replaced last summer.- Water pump was replaced in Nov. 2011- No rust- All electrical items work fine. Brake check light comes on when you first start the car and goes off when you touch the brake pedal. The brakes work fine and the light doesn't come on again. I've had this looked at and they found no problems with the brakes.- Electric windows, side mirrors and sunroof all work fine.- New tires at 119,902 miles. New brakes at 119,103.- No steering noises- No noises from rear end. Runs nice and quite. Looks like prior owner reported some rear end noise in Jul 2006 (93,901 miles) and according to the receipts this was fixed with new rear shocks and bushings.- Car drives nice and straight.- There was a lot of normal maintenance done over the years. Major items of note:: New oil pan gasket (119,834 miles), power steering rack (117,165 miles), new power antenna (110,301 miles), new windshield (101,305 miles), spark plug wiring set (89,208 miles), new alternator (80,038 miles), replace control arm, ball joint and bushings (70,177 miles), new valve cover gasket and upper shock mounts (71,806 miles), new fuel pump (70,062 miles), plus tons of regular minor maintenance On Jun-25-14 at 16:33:18 PDT, seller added the following information: Correction on my note above regarding the check light that comes on when you first start the car. It's the Check Brake Lights indicator NOT the Check Brakes indicator. The brake lights work fine and the light goes off the first time you tap the brakes. On Jun-26-14 at 13:16:43 PDT, seller added the following information: I've been getting a lot of requests for additional pictures but it looks like I hit my limit for this posting on eBay. Please don't hesitate to send me a message and request more pictures and I will send them to you directly. -JeffOn Jun-27-14 at 11:17:19 PDT, seller added the following information: I was recently asked about the hood, which appears to be newer than the rest of the car. I have no receipts for a new hood and there are no records of an accident. The frame and all the structures in the front end have no damage. So I'm not sure why the hood was replaced or refinished.Again, feel free to request more pictures.
