1960 STUDEBAKER LARK VIII, 2-door HARDTOP, 259 cid V8, automatic transmission, newer interior & dash pad. This rare vehicle deserves a full restoration or to be rehabilitated and driven/enjoyed as-is. I recently purchased this vehicle from an ebay member who grossly misrepresented the vehicle as a nearly rust free vehicle. In fact, the car has rust repaired in the rockers and both front fenders. Rust needs repaired in the trunk pan. The engine runs strong with no knocks, smoke or leaks. The transmission shifts fine, but is leaking some fluid (most likely the pan gasket, but I don't know for certain). The car starts and runs fine. Most electrical components need some TLC including lights, wipers, etc. It appears the car has minor body damage to the valance panel between the tail lights--the trunk lid doesn't close properly and the rear bumper shows damage. At my 'buy-it-now' price, I'm losing money, but I simply don't have the time or space for another project. I want to be clear, this vehicle needs some attention as it appears to have just come out of longtime storage, but it does run and drive and has newer Michelin radial tires. It's hard to find a 2-door hardtop lark and that makes this a car worthy of the TLC or restoration it deserves.
